abstract guidelines
Abstract submissions are due Sunday, March 17, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST. You will hear back regarding your entry by Monday, March 31, 2025. Authors with selected abstracts will have their Symposium registrations (both days) paid.
Abstracts must be written in & able to be presented in English and not exceed 300 words excluding titles, names, & affiliations - please use whole first names when entering authors’ names.
Abstracts should describe empirical research studies related to companion animal behavior & welfare (i.e., canine, feline, equine)
All abstracts must include study objectives, data collection methods, and sample design. Abstracts that include completed data collection and results will be given preference.
Emerging scientists without a completed results section are welcome to apply, and acceptance will be determined on a case-by-case basis. But, data collection, results, and conclusions must be completed and approved by May 15, 2024.
In-text citations can be included in the abstract, but are not required, and will contribute to word count
